SPRINT

We are partners of the H2020-FETOPEN project SPRINT (Ultra-versatile Structural PRINTing of amorphous and tuned crystalline matter on multiple substrates). The project aims to develop an universal deposition technology of thin films with tuned crystallinity,  in multiple surfaces, at ambient temperature and atmospheric pressure. The new technology will enable the deposition of complex 2D/3D topologies with great control over the properties of the deposited films. Our researchers are responsible for the modelling, simulation and optimisation of the injection nozzles to be developed. Outputs of the SPRINT technology are expected in multiple areas, from microelectronics to high-performance photovoltaics, from new generation of fuel cells to biotech applications.
