COST ACTION TU1101

We were partners in the FP7-funded COST Action TU1101 (Towards safer bicycling through optimization of bicycle helmets and usage). This COST Action brought together the main scientific fields related to cycling traffic safety with focus on helmets. These fields included: (i) accident and behaviour statistics, (ii) traffic psychology, (iii) impact engineering, and (iv) ergonomics of thermal issues.

 

SIMTECH Lab was involved in the latter topic, which focussed on improving the thermal design of bicycle helmets and its interaction with the head thermoregulation. Partners from 21 European countries participated in this Action.
